Use Kirkland's public collection as civic evidence
Kirkland says its Cultural Arts Commission manages and curates the City's public-art collection and advises on acquisition, while projects include the Park Lane Outdoor Sculpture Gallery. This is a documented municipal program that can inform comparison of materials, public placement, and interpretation. It cannot authenticate an unrelated object, establish a seller's affiliation, show current private availability, or define the preferences of Kirkland residents.
Build an object record containing artist, title, date, medium, support, dimensions, weight, edition details when applicable, condition, and substantiated ownership history. Request recent photographs of the face, reverse, edges, labels, signature, frame, base, and mounting system. If a seller claims participation in a Kirkland project or City collection, retain the commission, catalog, agreement, or correspondence that specifically supports that statement.
