How should you match the ASYCUDA declaration to the carrier record?
Its troubleshooting guidance shows why reconciliation matters: a declaration cannot be assessed against an unvalidated bill, package availability must match the bill of lading, and the goods weight recorded for declared items must agree with the relevant container data. The buyer should appoint the importer or broker and confirm the applicable declaration procedure before carrier collection.
St. Kitts and Nevis Customs publishes ASYCUDA guidance for declarations and explains that a carrier or consolidator submits the master or house bill.
The declaration packet should identify seller, buyer, title, artist, creation year, original acrylic-on-canvas medium, dimensions, quantity, invoice price, currency, United States origin, and delivery terms. Add the certificate, current photographs, packing list, package count, protected dimensions, gross weight, freight and insurance records, proof of payment, and airway bill or bill of lading when issued. The same title, value, origin, weight, and package information should appear in the invoice, artwork record, carrier bill, scanned evidence, and ASYCUDA entry.
