Read Tiburon through rail and ferry history
The Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society uses the former Railroad and Ferry Depot to interpret Tiburon's railroad, ferry, and industrial past. For the 2026 season, it notes that upstairs galleries are temporarily closed for refurbishment while the downstairs museum remains available on its posted schedule. This is a specific, current cultural reference, not support for assumptions about private taste or an offered artwork's local significance.
Develop the object record independently: maker, title, creation date, medium, support, exact dimensions, weight, edition details, condition, and provenance that can be documented. Request recent overall and detail images, including reverse, labels, frame joints, surface, signature, and hardware. A depiction of the bay, railway, or ferry is subject matter; it does not by itself establish when, where, or by whom the work was made.
