Use Coastside history with its regional label intact
The Half Moon Bay History Association operates the Coastside History Museum and preserves materials concerning the area's people and places. Its Coastside scope is broader than the incorporated city, so it should be cited as a regional historical resource rather than a municipal art authority. It cannot authenticate a private object, establish provenance, or imply museum endorsement of a seller or transaction.
Document the offered artwork with maker, title, date, medium, support, dimensions, weight, edition information, condition, ownership history supplied, and sources behind any coast or community claim. Request current photographs of the front, reverse, edges, labels, signature, frame, and mounts. A harbor, agricultural, Indigenous, maritime, beach, historic Main Street, or named family connection requires specific evidence and correct geography rather than Coastside-themed marketing.
