Use Serralves to ask contemporary-art questions
Serralves Museum describes its collection, temporary exhibitions, performance, education, and publishing within a changing program across the museum, villa, and park. That distinction matters when reviewing a claim: collection ownership, a temporary display, a commission, and an exhibition loan are not interchangeable. A work offered elsewhere gains no Serralves history merely through a shared artist, medium, theme, or contemporary date.
Create an object schedule covering artist, title, date, materials, support, dimensions, weight, components, marks, edition, frame, glazing, condition, restoration, provenance, and exhibition evidence. For installation or time-based work, add component lists, display instructions, power, software, media files, rights, and replacement responsibilities. Refer contested attribution, title, edition, or conservation matters to qualified independent specialists before purchase.
