Use the regional museum without collapsing the Algarve
The Algarve regional commission documents the Museu Regional do Algarve in Faro and its role in preserving regional cultural and ethnographic heritage. That institutional anchor can help a buyer research materials, subjects, and historical context. It cannot turn an unrelated object into regional art, and Faro’s museum location should not be presented as evidence about a seller or destination elsewhere in the Algarve.
Create an object schedule with artist or maker, title, date, medium, support, dimensions, weight, marks, edition, frame, glazing, condition, repairs, provenance, and publication or exhibition evidence. For folk, craft, decorative, or fine-art labels, identify who made the classification and on what records. Use qualified independent review where authorship, age, cultural origin, or treatment materially affects the decision.
