Use the University Museum at collection level
Stellenbosch University describes a museum with art, cultural, scientific, and anthropological holdings, including a substantial traditional African art collection. This is a useful institutional reference for studying labels, materials, dates, and curatorial categories. It does not make every object a model for private display or prove a relationship to an outside work. Cite the exact record consulted and respect distinctions among artistic, ceremonial, archaeological, ethnographic, and historical material.
For any candidate piece, record artist or maker where known, title, date, medium, dimensions, weight, signatures, condition, provenance, prior repairs, publication history, cultural context, and rights. State which attributes can be supported by primary documentation and which rest on comparison. Museum presentation does not convey permission to reproduce knowledge or imagery, and sensitive objects may require community-led protocols that a standard acquisition form cannot supply.
