How to use this research
Ask for a material record that distinguishes the visible medium from the support beneath it. A photograph alone cannot tell you every layer in a work or which products were used. Keep the artist’s answer with the invoice and condition photographs. If you later seek framing or conservation help, provide that record so the specialist does not need to rely on assumptions.
