The research desk is an editorial resource published by Physical Art For Crypto. Its public research notes and museum studies are intended to help a collector ask clearer questions. They do not represent this gallery’s transaction history, original survey research, professional appraisals or a museum endorsement.

Public research notes

Each note has a stable identifier, a linked source, an observation period and a statement of scope. Art market estimates come from Art Basel and UBS reports by Arts Economics; collector preferences also include Artsy’s own surveys. Mean spending, median spending, market totals and individual asking prices are kept separate. Survey results describe their respondents and should not be generalized to all residents of a country or city.

Painting studies

The museum library uses the Cleveland Museum of Art’s CC0 open-access records. The September 5, 2026 snapshot contains 1,200 selected paintings with a distinct museum description, an image released as CC0 and usable dimensions. Museum descriptions and observations remain explicitly attributed. Records with missing measurements or images and exact duplicate descriptions were excluded. The collection is a selection from one museum and is not representative of all world art.

Historical dates and names follow the museum record, including qualified or uncertain attributions. The museum owns or holds the referenced objects; none are offered for sale by this site. Museum records can change. Use the linked object record for the latest scholarship or visit information.

Our original calculations

Scale studies use recorded width and height in centimeters. Inches are calculated by dividing centimeters by 2.54. Width-to-height ratio is width divided by height; rectangular area is width multiplied by height, divided by 10,000 for square meters. The measurement type—such as image, unframed or overall—is visible. That distinction matters for mounted scrolls and works whose image and support differ.

The interactive tool adds twice the entered frame allowance to each dimension, then compares those outside dimensions with the entered wall. It does not evaluate structural safety, frame construction, light, humidity, packed dimensions or access. The diagram is illustrative. Studio comparisons select the nearest width-to-height ratios using the absolute logarithm of the ratio difference. They do not imply similar quality, value, technique or authorship.

Care and international guidance

Conservation notes draw on the Canadian Conservation Institute and preserve their stated limitations. They support conversations with a paintings conservator; they are not cleaning or repair instructions. Destination guides describe local context and planning questions. A city’s inclusion is not evidence of a local office, completed shipment, customer presence or universal delivery eligibility.

Send a correction with the page URL and supporting source to info@physicalartforcrypto.com. Future studio evidence should retain its own date, method, permission and sample size. Public research should not be relabeled as proprietary, and customer identities should not be published without permission.
