Separate site-specific murals from portable art
The municipal tourism page describes Museo Cabañas through its courtyards, arches, and 57 José Clemente Orozco murals, including El Hombre de Fuego. MUSA, a University of Guadalajara museum, presents changing modern and contemporary exhibitions. A mural inseparable from its architecture raises different authorship, scale, conservation, and viewing questions from a portable painting or sculpture. Neither institution's program describes private stock.
Define whether the candidate is portable, architectural, commissioned, editioned, or culturally restricted, then record artist, title, date, medium, support, dimensions, weight, condition, provenance, and rights. Compare museum works only through accurate labels and documented context. Photograph the intended room and test sightlines there. Do not claim an Orozco-related or contemporary style is generally preferred in Guadalajara, and never imply institutional endorsement of an outside work.
